HORSE & HAY TRANSPORT INC.

Why we started a transportation business was the difficulty in getting our horses moved from the north to other locations when we needed them moved, whether for a horse show, a sale, warmblood auction or for high end veterinary surgical services that were unavailable in the north.  We purchased our larger 4 horse trailer (now a 7/8 horse trailer) to meet our own needs and then decided to reach out to customers who also may require more immediate and safe transportation.

My Background:

I graduated from Morven Park International Equestrian Institute's intensive twelve month Riding Instructor's Program in Leesburg, Virginia (U.S.), schooling to Third Level Dressage and Preliminary Eventing.  I was privileged to train with Tad Coffin (Double Gold Olympic Medallist), Bruce Davidson, Gunnar Ostergaard and Raul de Leon, among others.

After graduation, I competed in the Eastern United States, placing Fourth in the U.S. at Training Level Dressage in 1991 for the U.S. Dressage Federation Young Riders, out of approximately 20,000 competitors at that level, and First Place in the State of Virginia. I also placed Tenth in Virginia at the U.S. Dressage Federation First Level Dressage.

Upon returning to Canada, I taught approximately 75 students per week at North Shore Equestrian Centre in North Vancouver, B.C. for two years. My students came from a variety of backgrounds, including Tiffany Foster as a young teenager first starting her riding career. She went on to train with Eric Lamaze, Canadian Individual Gold Olympic Medallist. She now competes on the Canadian Olympic Show Jumping Team and has since competed in the London and Rio Olympics for Canada. I also taught Melissa Stubbs (who has stunt doubled for Goldie Hawn, Ashley Judd).

In the late 1990’s we purchased our farm in Quesnel, B.C. to start our own warmblood breeding program - see www.hunterhillwarmbloods.com.
